I grew up with a strong passion for cooking and I
wanted to become a chef since I was about eight years old. Then I saw the television show Essence of
Emeril and I realized that was what I seriously wanted to do with my life. As the years
went on I would cook for hundreds to thousands of people (per day) serving a
variety of different demographics everyone from church folks to everyday folks
to CEO’s of successful companies. All of that hard work has paid off because I am
currently a Sous Chef.
As I have gotten older I have rediscovered a passion
that I had before I discovered my love for cooking; writing. I suppressed that passion
because I loved to cook and I did not think that I would do anything else. Now I
am somewhat at a crossroad because I love to cook yet I am being tugged into
another direction with writing. My husband gave me some great advice which was to
simply write. He understands my passion for writing and he has seen me write
over the years but I have never been consistent. Another great thing that he
mentioned was to write about food which I think is a fantastic idea; merging
two of my passions together.
So I am challenging myself to juggle both because they
both fulfill me. So I am going to see where this voyage takes me. I’m excited!
P.S. Hey #FoodNetwork if you want me to watch a few cooking shows, test out some recipes, and then write some reviews I'm totally available 😉
