When I was at stay-at-home mom I thought that I would be the BEST stay at home mom...I was wrong. And there were many reasons why I didn’t want to continue to stay at home (that’s another blog). But one of the main reasons was because I am not stay at home mom material. I had to accept that and move on. My children were fed, clothed and whatnot but by my standards I was not able to give them 100% because there was still this yearning inside of me to be a career woman. So I went back to school and now I have my career in the field that I love. And although I am not at home as much; I feel that now I am able to actually be present with my children. Now I value our time together whereas before when the hubs came home I was ready to bolt out of the house.
I believe that whatever you are doing that doesn’t fit in the true purpose of your life QUIT. I’m not saying just up and quit your job without a plan...did that too, that’s another blog :-). But what I am saying is plan out how and when you are going to move into what you are really purposed to do. It might seem scary or hard but trust me the payoff is absolutely worth it.
