Encouragement is vital in your success whether you have a team supporting you or if you're #TeamMe. I'm glad that I do have a support system to encourage me in all that I want to do. Namely my husband he's been encouraging me to write my blog and the many books that I desire to write forever. I've been writing for years but I've never published anything due to being scared, stressed, busy and a whole gang of other lame excuses. I know that I am supposed to write not only to encourage and uplift others but for my sanity. My husband and I had a conversation last night about how if you don't do that thing that you know you're purposed to do then you'll always angry, or bitter, or incomplete.
We all have that thing that once we've found out that were supposed to do we should do it. However the crazy thing is that when you attempt to do those things there are many obstacles that come. Prime example I came out to the library to finally publish some of the content that I've had sitting on my computer just waiting for me to share. Whilst I'm about to do just that my computer decides to do an update. Now of all the times this raggedy computer wants to do an update it's today when I am FINALLY going to publish my work. But no problem I have a pretty nice iPhone and two thumbs so I am writing this actual blog post on my phone. I may run out of space on my notes but I'll that's okay. I'll just start another note and keep it pushing. I encourage everyone to push through any and every obstacle, negative thought(s), and/or toxic person that tries to hinder you from either finding your purpose or fulfilling your purpose.
I remember one evening I was watching Super Soul Sunday's (OWN Network) and Steven Pressfield had a quote that I absolutely love:
"Most of us have two lives. The life we live and the un-lived life within us. Between the two is resistance."
I love that quote because that's exactly how I was feeling in my life. The un-lived life was bubbling up inside of me but I was resisting. I know that there is more that I'm supposed to do with my writing and beyond writing as well. So today I stop resisting and start living that un-lived life.
P. S. I am headed home to use the hubby's computer because the update is only at 25%. I have a lot more to write and get this published today.
What is one thing that you can do today that will help you start the process of living the un-lived life that you desire?
